With the title Celebrating 70 Years, Embracing our History and Innovating for a Sustainable Future, the Convention that takes place in the iconic Adelaide Oval from Monday 20th to Friday 24th March 2023, aims to create the biggest forum for brewers, distillers and allied industry professionals in Asia Pacific.
The Institute of Brewing & Distilling Asia Pacific (IBD Asia Pacific) at its AGM last month (Thursday 21st October) has welcomed its new Chair, Gary Faulkner, Quality, R&D Director for Lion, and new Board member Steph Howard, National Sales Manager for Cryer Malt.
The Institute of Brewing & Distilling (IBD) is pleased to announce changes to its Board of Trustees following the 18th Annual General Meeting held recently. This complements the IBD’s desire to create a more diverse and global team with the skills to drive its strategic priorities.

This clear support by the Members represents a significant step in our application process. The IBD is now in the position to formally submit our Royal Charter petition to the Office of the Privy Council.
Considering that there are now more than 4000 candidates annually taking our qualifications in over 90 countries, we have decided to holistically review the sequencing of the IBD Examination Calendar and optimise it for candidates and their businesses.
This Masterclass will connect thought-leaders and practitioners in the sector with brewers and distillers, industry students and businesses to create strong and lasting educational, professional and entrepreneurship connections. It will be held on the Island of Hven on 20 and 21 June 2022.
Based in Adelaide, Megan has over 20 years of experience in the barley, malting and brewing industries, having worked with Joe White Maltings, Lion, and most recently Barley Australia, prior to joining Grains Australia Limited as General Manager Classification in February 2022.
