Last month we studied the effective, if annoying to some, marketing strategy employed by this company which is only just into its teens. We took a tour around the Rolec and Ziemann brewhouses and considered some future plans. The BrewDog drinks portfolio has also been enhanced by producing its own spirits, buying into an artisan cider maker and a huge investment in the up and coming sour beer sector.

The Nathan System (NS) of brewing was the brainchild of Dr Leopold Nathan, a Swiss engineer, who registered a number of patents from 1894 to the 1930s; those relevant to his unique brewing vessels, fabricated from aluminium, were granted in 1908 and 1927.
