Special General Meeting

CIBD Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM)

Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that an Extraordinary General Meeting of The Chartered Institute Of Brewers And Distillers will be held online on Zoom on 19th November at 10am (GMT). You will soon receive information about how to register and vote via Mi-voice, the same service used for the AGMs.

Explanatory note

We have received the approval from the Privy Council to update our post-nominals to reflect the change in our name to the Chartered Institute of Brewers and Distillers. As we have stated in our communication with our members throughout this process, the transition from the IBD to the CIBD is dependent on external bodies. We were informed about our updated post-nominals being approved after the IBD and CIBD AGM notices were sent out and we have had to call an EGM to allow our members to vote on this item. The EGM seeks to update the post-nominals from MIBD, FIBD and Hon FIBD to MCIBD, FCIBD and Hon FCIBD.

Ordinary Resolution

Item 1: To change the post-nominal letters for Members, Fellows and Honorary Fellows to better reflect the name of the CIBD and the Chartered status of the organisation. The new post-nominals will be MCIBD, FCIBD and Hon FCIBD.

By order of the Board

Will Calvert, Trustee, CIBD
