Learn best practices, explore a recent water management project at Curious Brewery, and discover how to enhance your brewery's water management performance.

This event is open to all IBD members, brewers, distillers, engineers, and anyone interested in water usage, recycling, reduction, and reuse in the brewing and distilling industries.

Doors will open at 4:30pm with presentations starting at 5pm, followed by an open forum and Q&A session and brewery tour.

Speakers:

  • Soren Nohr Bak, Senior Expertise Director, Water & Sustainability, NIRAS Denmark
    • Soren is Expertise Director for Water in Food & Beverage, responsible for extending and development of NIRAS’s service to F&B companies internationally on the topic of water. The area covers all issues related to water: intake, treatment, reduction, re-use, recycling and wastewater treatment, from the first ideas to solutions in operation.
  • Matt Anderson, Chief Operations Officer, St Peters Brewery Group, Curious Brewery
    • Matt is the Operations Director for St Peters Brewery Group comprising brands from St Peters Brewery, Curious Brewery, and Wild Beer. Formerly with Budweiser Brewing Group, Matt is a member of the Southern UK section of the IBD, and a Master Brewer.
  • Chris Lewington, Founder of Brew Resourceful
    • Chris Lewington is the founder of a social enterprise called Brew Resourceful, offering to help small to medium-sized craft breweries with their operational sustainability. Formerly of Beavertown, Thornbridge and Daleside Breweries

Schedule:

  • 4.30 pm: Doors Open
  • 5 pm: Presentations and Q&A
  • 7pm: Brewery tour 
  • Drinks/socialising until 10pm

Transport:

  • Curious Brewery is next door to Ashford International Station. There is a car park at the front of the Brewery for patrons.
