Battle of the Breweries - Castle Rock Brewery

Come along to a fun and social brew day to promote section networking for young and early career brewer IBD members!

The cask beer will also be judged at the Midland Section Dinner 2024 against a beer brewed in competition at Attic Brew Co. The winning team will recieve an engraved commemorative glass tankard!

Mr. Jon Edger,  brewery manager, and his staff will guide the assembled team to design and produce a beer for the Midland section Annual dinner beer competition.

The group will be making a hop forward cask beer for the Midland section annual dinner. The young and early career brewer members will be able to engage with every aspect of the brew at the Castle Rock pilot brewery, including a tour of the brewery. There will be some hands on experience and opportunities for technical discussions around the process and its control. 

The Midland section will provide a buffet lunch at Castle Rock’s renowned Canal House

Safety shoes are required.

How To Get There:

• Nottingham railway station is a 2 min walk  from the brewery. Limited car parking is available on the brewery premises

• A chance to get stuck in on a full brew day and be part of making the winning beer for IBD Midland section dinner in Feb 2024.
• A chance to see in the inner workings of a brewery
• Learn and engage in sessions provided by industry leaders and benefit from the knowledge of some very experienced brewers
