Are you interested in touring a world-class multi-spirit distillery, grain distilling, super-premium gin and vodka production site? If the answer is yes, we invite you to attend the IBD Scottish section's latest event at Cameronbridge Distillery.
This is a superb opportunity to examine the challenges facing large-scale multi-spirit distillation. And you will get an understanding of the workings necessary to run one of Britain’s largest distilleries.
This event is a great opportunity for those working in distilling and allied professions – you’ll spend time with like-minded people with a thirst for knowledge and knowledge transfer. We encourage students, distillery operatives and anyone involved in any spirit production or engineering to attend.
Please note that safety footwear, Hi-Viz, hard hat are compulsory, otherwise no admittance.
Schedule:
- 3.00pm: Welcome and Safety Briefing
- 3.30pm: Tour of the production areas -
- Grain Distillery: Grains Intake, Raw Material Handling and Storage, Mashing, Fermentation and Distillation.
- Gin & Vodka Distilleries: Botanical Intake & Storage, Distillation and Charcoal Filtration.
- Site Logistics and Tankering
- Effluent Treatment and Discharge
- 5.30pm: Q&A session and buffet
- 6.30pm: Depart
How to get there:
- Cameronbridge Distillery (Windygates) is 5km from Markinch Railway Station.
- For drivers, car-sharing is encouraged.
