Flamborough Maltings Bridlington East Yorkshire YO15 1DY |
You are invited to an exclusive tour of a malt production facilty and gain insight to how important malt is for sustainable brewing and distilling.
Tim Wakeley from Muntons Bridlington will present what Muntons have done to reduce their CO2 footprint across their sites and what impact this can have on brewers and distillers who wish to reduce their own environmental impact. Mark Ineson will also give an update on the 2023 barley crop and give an insight on what we all might expect the new harvest might look like. Last but not least, we have Stuart Reid, Head of Customer Development at AMP Clean Energy, who are working with several UK maltsters to help reduce their carbon footprint.
The talks will be followed by a site tour to learn about their sustainability story and the work been done so far. This includes insight into their future plans to further reduce the company’s CO2 footprint. These projects include a biomass boiler using UK sourced biomass, an effluent plant licensed to discharge to the North Sea, as well as the company’s prestigious platinum status Eco Vadis award.
A light supper and drinks will be available in a nearby pub.
