The IBD Southern Section Committee invites you to attend the 2024 Southern Section Annual General Meeting, on 1 February 2024 at Adnams Brewery in Southwold, Suffolk at 6 pm.
Please note that only IBD members are eligible to vote at the Annual General Meeting.
Fergus Fitzgerald, Production Director of Adnams Brewery will host the meeting.
Fergus is celebrating his 20th year at Adnams where he was Head Brewer until 2021, now responsible for all brewing and packaging operations as Production Director. Formerly with Fullers Brewery, Fergus has a degree in Biotechnology from the Waterford Institute of Technology. Fergus was the All party parliamentary group Brewer of the Year in 2013.
The AGM will be followed by a brewery tour and drinks at the bar to finish.

The tour:
Adnams Brewery is a result of sustainable, consistent family shareholder investment in plant and equipment, with a successful spirit distillery and a Low/ No alcohol production plant alongside a traditional brewery producing the finest Cask and Keg ales and lagers.
Transport and accomodation:
- Location best accessible by car or taxi.
- Train from Liverpool St. to Ipswich , then change to Halesworth, taxi 20 mins to brewery.
- Overnight accommodation can be arranged at local hotels at the Swan or The Crown, The Blyth , or the Randolph - 20 minutes walk or in Walberswick the Anchor or the Bell Inn.
