Small Scale Carbon Dioxide Recovery

The APAC Section invites all brewing and distilling professionals to New South Wales' latest event on small-scale Carbon Dioxide recovery. Peter Fraser, Director, FNB Technical Pty Ltd (Hypro Engineering), will present details of Hypro Engineering's Carbon Dioxide recovery systems.

FNB Technical Pty. Ltd. provides consulting and contracting services to the brewing, beverage, and food industries, and is the Australia, New Zealand, and South Pacific agent for Hypro Group of India.

Peter Fraser is an agricultural scientist who has worked in the brewing industry for the past 37 years. 31 years in various roles with Carlton & United Breweries, and since then as owner and managing director of FNB Technical Pty. Ltd.

His brewing career started as a technical brewer at the Carlton Brewery in Bouverie Street, Melbourne, then moved to the Kent Brewery in Sydney, back and forth to Abbotsford Brewery in Melbourne, built the Abbotsford brewing development unit (12hL), and a stint running the Redback Brewery in North Melbourne (a 100hL brewhouse with 6 x 200hL unitanks) as a one-man operation, as well as draught beer operations manager at Abbotsford.

As well as covering all brewing operations, considerable time was spent as project brewer for capital installations. This led to him being appointed site leader for the Foster’s India greenfield brewery in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India.

The last half of his career at CUB was spent in National and Global roles covering technical and quality aspects, including franchised brand production in Australia and overseas, and corporate and process governance.

FNB Technical Pty. Ltd. provides consulting and contracting services to the brewing, beverage, and food industries, and is the Australia, New Zealand, and South Pacific agent for Hypro Group of India.

Hypro specialise in equipment for brewing , beverage, and pharmaceutical production. Of interest to the evening’s meeting, Hypro manufactures breweries from 50L to 300hL brewlength, tanks to 6m diameter, and energy efficient utilities, including deaerated water and carbon dioxide recovery plants.
