Malting Talk and Tour

Join the Midland section on a site visit and technical tour of a major maltings operation at Shobnall Maltings in Burton On Trent. You will meet and have the chance to talk to very experienced master brewers and maltsters, so we highly encourage IBD Brewing/ Distilling/Malting IBD exam candidates to attend.

This event is for a small group of 12 only, so register early to avoid disappointment!

After event, for those willing, to get together for a curry & beer in Burton, free of charge.

Priority will be given to Midland section members who are exam candidates for forthcoming Brewing/Distilling/Malting qualifications. Others are welcome to apply but will be on a waiting list on a first come first served basis until Dec, 15th, the application closing date.

Why You Should Attend:

• To assist with exam preparation for IBD exam candidates in Brewing/Distilling/Malting with regard to the malting process.
• To benefit from the perspectives of some very experienced master brewers and maltsters..
• To network with fellow colleagues in our industry

How to get there:

There is a car park at the maltings.. Burton railway station is a 15 min walk away
