PJ Milly - Diploma in Brewing Module 1 Tutor

PJ started brewing beer in 1997, carving out a career in the industry as a leader, brewer, scientist, teacher, student, and coach. With various roles across many breweries and academic institutions, PJ began at Athens Brewing Company in Georgia as an Assistant Brewmaster.

The start of the new millennium saw PJ move to the University of Georgia as a Food Processing and Research Development Laboratory Graduate Teaching Assistant, where he earned a Bachelors, Masters and PhD in Food Science and Technology. 

While the academic world provided him with valuable coaching and tutorial experience, PJ yearned to apply his technical knowledge and in 2007 began brewing for Miller Brewing Co. in California as Brewing Work Group Manager.

Since then, he has held senior roles at MillerCoors and MolsenCoors and is currently the VP of Operations for Revolver Brewing in Granbury, Texas, USA. PJ has been an IBD member since 2009, earning several qualifications with the IBD.

Having mentored over 50 colleagues at MillerCoors to achieve the GCB, GCP and Dipl. Brewing, we are privileged to have PJ bring his teaching and industry experience to the IBD as one of our distinguished tutors. 

Currently residing in Granbury, Texas, USA, in his spare time PJ enjoys playing sports with his children, traveling with family, and running their real estate business.
