Ignacio Huarte - Diploma in Brewing Module 3 Tutor

Ignacio brings his experience as a brewer, and also as a process engineer, with 10 years of experience as a professional, the last 6 of which he dedicated to the brewing industry.

Chemical engineer by profession, he has also been trained and worked as a brewer, combining brewing science knowledge with a solid academic formation in process design, technologies selection and equipment sizing and calculation.

After giving his first steps as an engineer working in process design and heat, mass and momentum transfer equipment sizing for petroleum and atomic energy, he joined ABInbev in 2015 to kick off his career as a professional brewer.

Since then, he worked covering various roles in planning, quality and production departments, always with a curious eye on the engineering side of brewing.

Ignacio has a MEng. In Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Buenos Aires (2012), and obtained an IBD's Diploma in Brewing in 2022.

He is now based in Madrid, where he recently joined Mahou San Miguel.

In his free time, Ignacio enjoys riding his bike, spending time with family, friends and colleagues, reading and learning languages.
