Daniel Kerruish - Diploma in Brewing Module 2 Tutor

Originally from the Isle of Man, Daniel completed an undergraduate degree in microbiology at the University of Liverpool and then continued his studies at King’s College London and was awarded his PhD in microbiology in 2007.

Daniel then spent a number of years brewing, gaining his brewing qualifications (including IBD Diploma in Brewing in 2009) and an MBA before taking up a research fellow position at the Brewing School in the University of Nottingham. Following further brewing work at New Belgium Brewing Company, Colorado, USA Daniel took up his position as Diageo Group Microbiologist in 2015.  He gained his IBD General Certificate in Distilling in 2019. In addition to his day job Daniel is a visiting lecturer at Heriot-Watt University, and an honorary Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham.
