Carol Grobler - Diploma in Brewing Module 3 Tutor

Carol knows all there is to know about the importance of well-planned and efficiently deployed engineering projects in brewing. With almost two decades working in the industry, she brings a superb understanding of how to improve operations by effectively managing and reducing water, energy, emissions, and waste.  

She started her career in 2003 as a Production Manager in Brewing at SABMiller before being promoted to a variety of engineering, consultant, and line management roles. Among her main achievements, Carol was in charge of designing greenfield breweries in Nigeria, Mozambique, Tanzania and Southern Sudan. These breweries allowed SABMiller to meet consumer demand in key growth markets across Africa.  

Carol holds a BSc of Chemical Engineering Cum Laude from the University of Cape Town (1999) and a Master of Business Administration Cum Laude from UNISA in 2011. Achieving a Diploma in Brewing with the IBD, and an IBD member for 10 years, we’re thrilled to have Carol join us again as a member of our outstanding group of TGL tutors. 

Carol currently resides in Durban, South Africa, and outside her professional life loves spending time in a variety of outdoor activities (hiking, climbing, sailing, swimming and camping) with her husband and 2 young sons.
