Abigail Temoshchuk Reynolds - Diploma in Packaging Module 2 Tutor
A member of the craft brewing world, Abbey has had a diverse career in the industry, having worked in just about every role in production - brewing, cellaring, laboratory, packaging, and production management. They served as the Quality Manager of Port City Brewing Company in Alexandria, Virginia, where they created the quality program for the brewery from the ground up, and more recently served as the Production Manager of Highland Brewing in Asheville, North Carolina, where they oversaw the packaging & warehouse departments as well as production planning and forecasting for the brewery.
Abbey has a Bachelor’s & Master’s of Science in Microbiology from James Madison University and Georgetown University, respectively. They are Six Sigma and International HACCP certified, and are a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual for food safety per the USFDA.
Abbey has done a number of guest lectures for the Master Brewers Association of America, the University of Vermont, and the University of Miami-Ohio, teaching students about production planning and logistics. They served as a Technical Brewing educational mentor for the American Brewers Association Mentorship Program, which provides one-on-one professional development and learning for people who experience demographic barriers to access or advancement in the industry.
Abbey has completed Modules 1 and 2 of the IBD Diploma in Packaging and was a subject matter expert reviewer of the quality management unit of the IBD Diploma in Packaging learning material.
They are passionate about the opportunity to share knowledge and help guide the TGL candidates through their learning journeys.
Currently, Abbey works as a Process Engineer & Quality Assurance Manager for East Fork Pottery in Asheville, NC. In their spare time, they enjoy blacksmithing, embroidery, & spending time with their dog, Juneau.
