Tutor Guided Learning

Our new online tutoring program for Module 1, 2 & 3 of Diploma in Brewing and Module 1 of Diploma in Distilling. Diploma in Distilling Modules 2 & 3 coming 2021.

In line with the updates to our Diploma level learning material, our popular distance learning courses will gradually be replaced with a new online tutoring support option, which has been specifically designed to help you excel in your professional exams, whilst being easy to fit into your busy lives. Its key features include:

  • The courses will run weekly for 18 weeks starting from mid-January 2020;
  • The entire syllabus will be covered over this time;
  • You will work in small groups with your tutor who is both a technical expert and has been formally trained in online delivery;
  • You will practice typical exam questions, receive personal feedback from your tutor and get hints and tips to improve;
  • Tutor contact sessions are for an hour each week and allow for group discussion. These will be recorded so that you never miss out if you are unable to attend;
  • You will have access to a discussion forum, facilitated by your tutor, in which questions can be raised and answered.

The benefits include:

  • Motivation - We understand it’s difficult to set time aside to study regularly – the encouragement of the tutor, a defined timetable and the support of fellow learners makes this easier;
  • Study support - it’s easy to feel cut off if you are studying by yourself. This programme makes it simple for you to ask questions, receive feedback and interact with others;
  • Paced learning - face to face tuition is great, but the experts tell us that trying to cram too much information into a short course is probably not very effective. Online tutoring combined with excellent learning material means you can learn at your own pace;
  • Better grades! - our motivation is to help you excel in your professional qualifications. Whether it’s managing a pass or cracking a ‘A’, our tutors aim to help you achieve your goals.
